Hideki Kaji has recorded two songs for a
Japanese movie together with eggstone.
Per has mixed the new Doktor Kosmos album.
Norvegian Elvira has spent a few weeks here recording her second album with Per.
2007
AUTUMN
TBG (Tremolo Beer Gut) have recorded a new dual mono album.
Best swedish drummer ever, Janne "Loffe" Carlsson, recorded a few tracks for Pugh Rogerfeldts new album, produced by Martin Axen.
Per produced a song with Sidse Holte for the Danish Melodi Grand Prix.
SPRING
Per is currently in the studio producing British band The Research.
The Good
Shoes album 'Think Before You Speak' was
released in March and entered the English Independent top 30 at
number 2. Their second single 'Never Meant To Hurt You'
was number 1 at the NME charts in March.
Envelopes have finished mixing their album and
it has been mastered. Their first single 'Smoke In The Desert,
Eating The Sand, Hide In The Grass' will be released on
April 30.
Patrik spent three weeks in March recording with Montys Loco in the studio he founded about a year ago in Ondangwa, Namibia.
Nina
Persson was here for an evening recording her part of a
duet with Svante Thuresson and Plura.
And finally
we want to congratulate The Ark on winning the
Swedish Eurovision Song Contest with 'The Worrying Kind'
and we want to wish them good luck in the final on May 12 in Helsinki!
JANUARY
And it's a new
year again!
Good
Shoes released their first single 'The Photos on
My Wall' on 25 December.
Maria
Køhnke will release her album 'Collector'
on 15 January. It was mixed by Per Sunding.
2006
SEPTEMBER
Time flies when
you're having fun...
Much has happened
since the last update, such as:
Swedish band
Envelopes have been in and out of the studio with
Per, and now they have finally reached the mixing
stage. Currently they are on a US-tour, but they will return in
October.
Patrik
and Per spent a few hot summer weeks recording
Danish band Sterling. They made an album which
has been mixed and will be in the shops on October 30.
Another Danish
band, Velour, recorded two songs with Per
in the spring.
The
Perishers from
Umeå have recorded an album with Per as producer
and it is being mixed right now.
Local band The
Violet Sundays spent a weekend recording a demo with Herman
in the studio, and Casino 66 also had the pleasure
of having Herman behind the desk when they recorded
an EP.
Per,
Patrik and Maurits recorded and
produced a song with Helena Drive 5 from Estonia,
and Maurits and Patrik mixed three
songs for Norwegian band Harrys Gym.
Finally, Per,
together with Tore Johansson, is producing British
band Good Shoes. They have recorded an album, and
it will be mixed in the autumn.
FEBRUARY
First of all we would like to congratulate Timbuktu
for winning Swedish Grammis 2005 for Hip-hop/Soul of the year and
Lyricist of the year!
Whyte Seeds album 'Bold as love'
has been released in Sweden, and the first single, also called 'Bold
as love', has been out for a few weeks. It is on Swedish
radio P3s A-playlist.
The album that Staffan Hellstrand recorded in the
studio together with Maurits, Patrik
and Per, called 'Motljus', will
be released on 22 February and the first single 'Ta mina
händer' is out now.
Danish band I Got You On Tape, whose self-titled
album was mixed by Maurits and Patrik,
will be released on 20 February.
2005
NOVEMBER
Per
Sunding
and Nathan Larson have finished mixing the Whyte
Seeds album which should be released some time in spring
2006.
Danish band
Velour are in the studio now with Per Sunding
to start recording their second album.
Staffan
Hellstrand
is back in Malmö to add the finishing touches to his new album.
In December
Swedish band Envelopes will be recording a few
songs with Per Sunding.
OCTOBER
Whyte
Seeds are done in the studio and we are looking forward
to the release of their album.
Right now, Staffan
Hellstrand is in the studio, recording a few songs with
Per Sunding, Maurits Carlsson
and Patrik Bartosch. Michael Ilbert
is producing.
And shortly
we will be welcoming The Perishers who will be
recording an album with Per Sunding as producer.
SEPTEMBER
Well it seems
like summer has passed and autumn has arrived! The studio has been
fairly quiet over the past few months, although we have had some
people working here.
Danish band
Lupus were here for a week in August with Morten
Bue.
Peter
von Poehl spent a long weekend in the studio with French
singer Pascale Daniel.
Maurits
Carlsson and Patrik Bartosh finished the
mixing of Danish band Marvellous and their album
should be released in the autumn.
Patrik
has also been writing string arrangements for Swan Lees
upcoming concert at the new Copenhagen Opera House on 25 September.
The concert will take place before the Danish crownprince-couple
hand out their Culture Prize to a Danish artist.
Per
Sunding and Nathan Larson have spent the
summer mixing Whyte Seeds and the band are now
back at Tambourine Studios to finalize the mix with Per and Nathan.
JUNE
The Göteborg-based
band Whyte Seeds have been in the studio since
1 May with Per Sunding and Nathan Larson
recording their second album. It's coming along fine and will be
mixed here as well later this summer.
Patrick
Bartosch is working on the music for another film called
'Percy, Buffalo Bill och jag'. The music was composed
by Magnus Jarlbo and recorded under Patriks guidance.
The film will be released on 30 September.
Monkeystrikes
are getting ready to release their second single 'Let's
go to Hawaii' from the album 'You hate my beautiful
love'.
SPRING
Danish producer
Nikolaj Nørlund has been in the Tambourine
studio a few times this spring. First he was here with Jens
Unmack to mix his album 'Vejen Hjem Fra Rocknroll'
together with Maurits Carlsson and Patrik
Bartosch. The single 'Happy Ending (I den her verden
vil jeg ikke være trist)' has been high up on Danmarks
Radio P3 playlist and the album will be released on 13 June. Nikolaj
Nørlund then produced the new Olesen Olesen
album with Morten Bue as technician, and this should
be released late September/early October.
Maurits
Carlsson and Patrik Bartosch have also
been in the studio this spring mixing the new album by Danish band
Marvellous. This shold be released some time this
year.
Danish band
Warwick Avenue spent a week in
the studio recording a cover of a Kim Larsen
song.
FEBRUARY
Monkeystrikes
have finished mixing their album, which will be released at the
end of April.
We
would like to congratulate our friends The Hives on
winning five awards at the 2005 Swedish Grammis. They won Album
of the year for 'Tyrannosaurus Hives', Artist
of the year, Best video for 'Walk Idiot Walk',
Best producer and Best rockgroup. Once again,
congratulations!
Idlewild
have released their first single, 'Love steals
us from loneliness', from their forthcoming album 'Warnings/Promises'.
The album will be released in the UK on March 7.
The
Margarets are releasing their new album on March 7 in Norway.
We do not know the title, but their first single from it, 'Surf
alone' is already out.

We are happy to let you know that the film 'Sandor/slash/Ida'
is doing well at the box office and has got very good reviews.
JANUARY
Finally Monkeystrikes are back in the studio! They are here
for a couple of weeks recording their new album with Nathan Larson
producing. The album will be released by Dust Music in April.
Irish band The Revs are in the studio for a few days with
Stefan Kvarnström recording vocals for their next album,
working title 'Time slipping'.
The Tambourine Studios guestbook has been removed due to various
circumstances, but we are looking to have another one up and running
in the near future. Please be patient!
Icelandic Bardi Johannsson and French Keren Ann Zeidel,
who together make up Lady and Bird, were in the studio over
christmas recording a few things for their new album.
Patrik Bartosch spent the best part of 2004 creating music for
the film 'Sandor/slash/Ida'. It opens on February 4.
2004
DECEMBER
Arks single 'One of us is gonna die young' was released
in Sweden on 8 December and is the most played single on Swedish
radio P3 and on Swedish television.
Swan Lee are back at Tambourine Studios recording some bonustracks
together with Per Sunding. They will be here for a few days
in January as well.
NOVEMBER
The new Ark album will be released on 27 December and the
single 'One of us is gonna die young' will be in the shops
on 8 December.
OCTOBER
The Ark are getting close to finishing their album which
will be relased after christmas although no date has been confirmed
yet.
MARCH
The Ark are now in the studio with Per Sunding recording
their third album, and will spend all of spring working on it.
Swan Lee's album 'Swan Lee' was released in Denmark
on 1 March and sold gold (20,000 copies) within a matter of hours,
so congratulations to them! The album will be released in Sweden
later in the spring. They will be on tour over the next few months,
mainly in Denmark, but will also play Cirkus in Stockholm on 5 April
and KB here in Malmö on 15 April. On both occasions they will
be supporting Weeping Willows.
FEBRUARY
We would like to congratulate our friends for winning the
following awards at the 2004 Swedish Grammis:
The Cardigans won Album of the year for 'Long
Gone Before Daylight', Rockgroup of the year and
the MTV prize for best video for 'You're the storm'.
Timbuktu won Lyrical composer of the year and
Hip Hop/Soul of the year.
The Haunted won Hardrock of the year.
Big congratulations to them all!
Finnish band The Winyls spent a weekend here recording
a single with producer Herman Söderström.
JANUARY
The first single, "I don't mind", from
Swan Lees forthcoming album is on heavy rotation
on Danmarks Radio P3 and will be released shortly. The album is
currently being mixed and will be out in March this year.
Swedish punkrockers Randy spent a day in the studio
recording a song for a forthcoming album.
2003
NOVEMBER
Scottish five-piece Idlewild will arrive here in
December to record their new album. They bring with them producer
Dave Eringa.
In a ceremony performed by us here at the studio,
Per Sunding was presented with his Swedish gold disc for
The Cardigans 'Long Gone Before Daylight'.
In fact it has already sold platinum in Sweden, and we are eagerly
waiting for this disc. In the meantime, the gold disc takes pride
of place on our "disc-wall".
Norwegian band The Margarets are recording their
forthcoming album in the studio with engineering help from Herman
Söderström.
OCTOBER
Patrik Bartosch is writing string arrangements for the
Swan Lee album and will be recording them at Danmarks
Radio in Copenhagen.
Monkeystrikes, formed partly by previous members of Souls,
has been in the studio reocrding a demo with Herman Söderström,
and it´s very good!
SEPTEMBER
Per Sunding is in Copenhagen with Swan Lee
to finish the album they started recording in the studio earlier
in the month.

It has only been up for a few weeks, and it's changing
from day to day.
Per Sunding is back in the studio with Swan
Lee to record a full album.
JULY
Magnus Carlson and eggstone will do 11
gigs together on the "Kalasturnén" this summer.
The Magnus Carlson album
is ready and released, and the first single 'Jag ber dig'
has been on heavy rotation on Swedish national radio for over two
months.
JUNE
Per Sunding has recorded a song with Danish band
Swan Lee and since it turned out well, we will
probably see them here again later this year.
MAY
Junior Senior mixed a new hitsingle together with Per
and Maurits.
MARCH
Hideki Kaji was in the studio with eggstone
for a week to record a new single.
FEBRUARY
Magnus Carlson, leadsinger of Weeping
Willows, is in the house. He is recording a new soloalbum, produced
and recorded by eggstone, who also have written most of the
songs. We hope that the album will be in your favourite recordstore
before summer is here.
The
first new Cardigans single is out, and it's of course a hit
with heavy rotation everywhere.
JANUARY
Air Bureau (former Aircrash Bureau) are mixing
some songs from their forthcoming debutalbum together with Maurits.
The Danish trash-dance-duo Junior Senior
mixed a new hitsingle together with Per and Maurits.
2002
DECEMBER
Dipper spent the day in the studio and recorded
four, almost steaming new, songs together with Herman Söderström.
The Eldkvarn album 'Brott
lönar sig alltid', produced by Per Sunding,
is to be released on the 14th of December. Check it out!
NOVEMBER
The Cardigans album, produced by Per
Sunding and recorded mainly at Tambourine, is
finished. Release is planned for March 2003 so put it in your diarys!
AUGUST
Our friends Weeping Willows challenged the Tambourine
floorball team for a game, which took place in Malmö at "Friskis
å Svettis". Weeping had a very nice "bajjen"
outfit that, I think, initially scared all of us in the Tambourine
team, but once the game got going our three-days-a-week practice
since May paid off and we won the first game with a convincing 7-0.
Much love and big respect goes to Weeping Willows from Tambourine;
thanks for a great game! We are all looking forward to a rematch
next year.

The Cardigans are back at Tambourine
to do some recordings together with producers Tore Johansson
and Per Sunding.
Rigteous
Boy, aka Magnus Sveningsson, has now released his solo
debutalbum 'I
sing because of you'.
MARCH
For the first time in Tambourine history
we have a producer from Taiwan in the studio. Mr Bean arrived
in Copenhagen after a 20-hour flight, for his first visit to Europe.
He brings with him five songs by an artist called Deserts, and
the musicians are, amongst others, Pece and Rasmus.
Local band Villa Nova Junction
is in the studio to record a five-track ep. Producer is Herman
Söderström. 
LOK is back in the studio
for the final mixing of their new album.
The Inn of the Sixth Happiness arrived today at the studio
with leadman Chris Bryan from England .They are here
for one week to record and mix some songs, including a soon to be
released single. 
FEBRUARY
We are very happy to welcome Thåström
to Tambourine. He is here for a week
to mix his new album. Mixing behind the Neve desk is Johan Forssman
from Gothenburg and also Micke Herrström. 
Nathan Larson is back in the studio for a few
days to work on some soundtracks. 
Sort Sol arrive at the studio for three days
of mixing together with Patrik Bartosch and Maurits
Carlsson. 
Johan Reivén, LOKs drummer,
arrived at Tambourine today, to spend
five days mixing songs for their new album together with Per
Sunding. 
Stefan Sundström arrived at the studio for
seven days of recording, accompanied by a bunch of good musicians
from Weeping Willows and The Soundtrack of Our Lives.
Producer is Mikael Herrström. 
Per Sunding and Herman Söderström
is getting down with the Neve desk, mixing earlier
recorded The Pusjkins songs. Also in the studio is Maria
Bergström, the leadsinger from the The Pusjkins.
The Tambourine produced album by Righteous Boy,
aka Magnus Svenningsson, 'I sing because of you'
is soon to be released.
Titiyo's song 'Come along' was the most
played song on Swedish national radio in the year 2001. Yet another
Tambourine hit! Titiyo is
also nominated for three Swedish Grammis.
JANUARY
Michael Ilbert is back in town and back at Tambourine.
He is now mixing some songs from the newly recorded LOK album,
produced by Per Sunding.
The MP3 page is finally
up and running with some samples of Per Sundings productions.
Our friend Nathan Larson is in the studio for five days,
working on music for the new Lukas Moodyson film.
